I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MAC Team

Thank you for checking out my profile page! And for considering a donation to this important -- and fun -- benefit event for fighting childhood cancer. NO ONE grants more money for childhood cancer research than St. Baldrick's Foundation except the U.S. Government. In 2009, St. Baldrick's funded the cancer fight to the tune of $12 million alone! I had heard about St. Baldrick's for many years as a reporter for the Naperville Sun, and a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church. The example participants set is a powerful one -- they would rather lose their hair than lose another child to cancer. Friends, family, colleagues -- I know that money is tight these days, and a lot of worthy causes demand our attention. That's why I'm not asking for a lot. If I can get just 100 people who know me -- and want to see me shaved like a yak -- to just give $10, (the cost of a cheap haircut) $5 (the price of a beer on St. Patrick's Day), or whatever is in your heart, we'll make a difference. My goal is $1,000. Won't you help me smash it? And help kids the world over win the fight against cancer!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
