I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Most of you who know me have a pretty predictable opinion of me.  Happy-go-lucky guy, good for a laugh when you need one, maybe laid back or chill.

But Wait, there's more.

There is one cause that I am very serious about.  One cause that rouses me to action.

Childhood cancer.  That gets me.

I am now in my 13th head shaving with St. Baldrick's to try and find better ways to treat childhood cancer.  The money I raise in these head shavings, over $5000 over the years, goes toward lifesaving research.

Every two minutes, a parent is told that their child has cancer.  1 out of 5 of those parents will watch their child lose the battle.  For those that survive, the methods used to treat the cancer play havoc with their bodies, causing many complications and problems own the road.

Cancer hasn't slowed down during the pandemic, but donations have.  So, for the 13th time, I'm putting my hair where my mouth is, surrendering my locks, and asking you to donate on my head.

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.

Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.

Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
