I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
Did you know brain cancer is the #1 disease-related killer of our children? Its not rare! Its not fair! I'm shaving! Please join me or please donate! Scary? Yes... but doesn't even come close to the fear that children with cancer experience daily. Uncomfortable? Yes...but not as uncomfortable as chemo and radiation. Embarrassing? Maybe a little.. but no where near the embarrassment children may feel surrounded by healthy peers who are not bald. I'm shaving in honor of my son, Luke Wyatt Morin who was stolen by DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) in 17 days at the age of 5. I'm doing this for ALL of the brave children battling this horrible disease with smiles every day. I'm doing this to raise awareness. I'm doing this because I believe ACTION will find a cure. Bring on the looks, the stares and whispers. I'm ready to tell you all about the monster that took my son and continues to kill 400 kids in the US each year. NO treatment advances in 50 years. NO chance of survival. DIPG is fatal upon diagnosis. The world goes on and these kids fight. The world goes on and bereaved families fight. The world goes on and I will fight. Thank you for your support!
