Hello, our daughter Carmella was diagnosed with stage 4 Ewing’s Sarcoma August of 2017. She is an incredible, brave, spirited and beautiful girl. She and her twin brother Aidan turned 12 in January. Carmella went through a really rough time after her diagnosis. She endured exhaustive and brutal rounds of chemotherapy, received blood transfusions & platelet transfusions, and two surgeries to help her get well. Today, she has no evidence of cancer.
Her brother Aidan and ten of his basketball teammates are going to help her and other kids with cancer this March by taking part in a St. Baldrick's Foundation virtual head shaving event. We hope you will consider supporting Carmella by making any contribution you are able to for this special event! Thank you for supporting us and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and/or a donation with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure, in particular, Carmella. Thank you! Carmella, Aidan, Sean and Michelle Childs.
P.S.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
