Hope for Daisy
In June of 2014, I had the opportunity to meet Daisy and her family at Sloan Lake for a walk benefitting brain cancer. Daisy was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013 at the age of 6 and had a relapse in September 2015 after 18 months of clear scans. Getting involved with this wonderful family really touches home for when I was about her age I was paralyzed from the neck down and on a respirator at the age of 9. I was fighting for my life not knowing if I was going to get better. I was lucky to have someone there supporting me, giving me hope that soon I would get better and make a full recovery. Having the opportunity to be there for Daisy and give her the support needed during this difficult time really inspires me to do everything I can.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least three years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research.
