My Story

Hi this is our daughter Ava and when she was 2 years old the doctor diagnosed her with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. They started chemotherapy immediately on her, and thankfully on Day 8 of treatment she was in Remission. Even though the cancer was no longer visible in her blood, Ava had to complete 2 1/2 years of chemo drugs being placed in her little body so that all the cancer was killed and to make sure it never returns. Ava has completed over 2.5 years of the grueling chemotherapy on her little body. She did lose all her hair during her treatment, but it has now grown back. On March 21, 2014, she took her last chemo pill and completed her chemo treatments! She fought and she won! Thank you for supporting Ava and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure!
