Hi, I’m Danilo Gallinari, or some call me Gallo! If you don’t know me, I’m a professional basketball player and currently play for the Boston Celtics. I’m excited to be a St. Baldricks Champion and use my platform to help raise awareness and critical funds for childhood cancer research.
When I heard the statistic that a child is diagnosed with cancer every 2 minutes in the world and that in the U.S., 1 in 5 kids diagnosed won’t survive, I knew I had to get involved.
This is why I’ve decided to team up with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has awarded more than $324 million to support research to find cures and less toxic treatments for all childhood cancers because every child deserves to live a long and healthy life.
Join me in the greatest assist to help kids with cancer and donate to lifesaving research.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is guided by a Scientific Advisory Committee, comprised of leading experts in the childhood cancer community, to ensure that every dollar makes the greatest impact for kids with cancer.
Donations given to the Gallo's Heroes Hero Fund go directly to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to fund lifesaving childhood cancer research around the world. The Foundation is guided by a Scientific Advisory Committee, comprised of leading experts in the childhood cancer community, to ensure that every dollar makes the greatest impact for kids with cancer.
These people make us smile - they’re the doers and money-raisers on behalf of the Gallo's Heroes Hero Fund. They’re shaving their heads, hosting events, starting fundraisers and more to make childhood cancer research possible.
Start your own St. Baldrick’s head-shaving event to support our Hero Fund! A dedicated staff member will guide you every step of the way—and you’ll have fun doing something great for kids with cancer.
Register to shave your head and support our Hero Fund at any St. Baldrick’s event worldwide! No event nearby? Go virtual and shave anytime, anywhere.
Not into head-shaving? No problem! Start a fundraiser for our Hero Fund doing something you love—bike a marathon, host a bake sale, anything goes!
