The Story Behind This Hero Fund

Hi, I’m Danilo Gallinari, or some call me Gallo! If you don’t know me, I’m a professional basketball player and currently play for the Boston Celtics. I’m excited to be a St. Baldricks Champion and use my platform to help raise awareness and critical funds for childhood cancer research.

When I heard the statistic that a child is diagnosed with cancer every 2 minutes in the world and that in the U.S., 1 in 5 kids diagnosed won’t survive, I knew I had to get involved.

This is why I’ve decided to team up with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has awarded more than $324 million to support research to find cures and less toxic treatments for all childhood cancers because every child deserves to live a long and healthy life.

Join me in the greatest assist to help kids with cancer and donate to lifesaving research.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is guided by a Scientific Advisory Committee, comprised of leading experts in the childhood cancer community, to ensure that every dollar makes the greatest impact for kids with cancer.
