A year ago, I learned about a child named Aiden Binkley, who was known as an all-around amazing kid that happened to have lived just a few houses down from me in Floral Park. He was well-liked, competitive, and absolutely vibrant. Sadly, at the young age of 11, Aiden lost his battle to a rare form of cancer, called Rhabdomyosarcoma, on December 30th, 2010.
Just before he passed, Aiden quietly came to a conclusion: “I think I know why I got cancer. I got cancer to cure cancer.”
His words and life were not just powerful but incredibly inspiring. This Zumbathon fundraiser is dedicated to Aiden -- we want to honor him by raising awareness and the necessary funds to grow the research in finding this cure.
So we warmly welcome you to join us for 90-minutes of non-stop Zumba to help support Aiden's cause. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation and thereby making a difference.
