What could possibly be more important than saving the life of a child? That’s what this fundraiser is all about: supporting childhood cancer research. Since the pandemic, donations are down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants. Your donation will help find cures and give survivors the long and healthy lives they deserve. For the month of September the boys of the Colonial Heights Rebels 10u baseball team will be collecting pledges for hits and stolen bases as well as donations to the cause. You can help by sponsoring your favorite athlete for every base they steal in September, so if you pledge $1 per stolen base and your athlete steals 20 bases in the month of September you will donate $20. Not inti stealing you can make a pledge for each hit your athlete gets ($1 per single, $2 for a double, $3 for a triple, and $4 for a homerun). Not into pledges make a one time flat donation of $5 or more. If the boys reach their team goal of $1000 Coach Scott will shave his head and beard. Help us find a cure for childhood cancer.
