Welch Goes Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Did you know that 300,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U.S., one in five will not survive. We want to change that, so we are raising money to find cures.

We are happy to report that Von is doing well and just finished his last chemotherapy treatment.

Von has left our school as his family has moved on to their next military assignment. I am sad to report that Welch has another student, Audrey Ramirez, who has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Audrey is a second grade student. She was diagnosed last spring is is currently receiving treatment at AI Dupont.

So this year we will continue honoring Von and his fight, but we will be honoring Audrey as Well.

We are holding another fundraiser this year. We are hoping to raise $10,000 for St. Baldrick’s Foundation which does research for pediatric cancer.

Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
