Fighting for Friends

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

My name is Evy and I am 11 years old. I started a fundraiser called Fighting For Friends! when I was 8. This year will be the 4th annual Fighting For Friends! 1 mile walk/run to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Did you know that 300,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U.S., one in five will not survive. I want to change that, so I'm raising money to find cures because no one should get cancer, especially not kids!

If you are able to attend the 1 mile walk/run it is at Bear Creek Park in Superior, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 27th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. The cost is $3 per person, $10 per group of 4, or if you can't afford to pay anything you can still come and show your support by being there. The address of the Fighting For Friends event is 110 Moccasin Mike Road in Superior, WI. After the walk/run there will be a free bounce house and free water. There will also be some stuff for sale. You can get a hotdog and a pop for $3.00. T-shirts will be $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids. There will be a bake sale, too!

If you can't make it to the event and you would still like to donate you can do that right here on this site! I appreciate your support!

70% of the proceeds goes to St. Baldrick's for pediatric cancer research. 20% of the proceeds goes to buying toys and crafts for the kids being treated for cancer at the Erick Peter Person Pediatric Cancer Center in Duluth, MN. 10% of the proceeds goes directly to a child that is battle cancer.
