Be a hero for kids with cancer!

"Your child has cancer"

Those were the words we heard on June 16th, 2011.  Our families lives have been forever changed! Sean, our youngest of three boys was given the diagnosis of Ewing Sarcoma at age 3.  He went through a year of treatment involving chemotherapy, radiation, several surgeries, blood transfusions and countless hospital stays.  Sean is cancer free today and that is as good as it gets for a cancer survivor! We will worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.
This year will be the seventh annual Shave for Sean.
Our goal is simple: Change the following statistics:
*Every two minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer
*1 in 5 children will die
*More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease
*Two-thirds of the lucky survivors will suffer life-long side effects from their life-saving
       treatment
Sean is currently in the "lucky survivor with side effects" category.

Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Our event has raised over $200K through the years! The approximate cost of a Research Grant that provides funding for year-long research projects that look to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancers is $100K. Isn’t it incredible that we've made two years of research possible!

Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
