GNSH's students and teachers answer the call to be heroes!
"Rain can be a pain. But it waters flowers and rainbows. All sorts of inspiring, fantastic things are born out of times of tears and hardship. We can be part of that."
-Katie Tan, 2012
Haven't we all dreamed of being heroes?
Somewhere, our daughter, our son, our brother, our sister, our niece, our nephew, our best friend, our hero is swinging their inner battle axe at an enemy on the inside. I'm choosing to shave my head to give a nod to their valiant efforts and to help rally the second line of defense. That's you.
The Ode to Rain Project is a grassroots movement whose aim is to inspire people to join hands and rise together during times of struggle as a testament to inherent human perseverance and courage. It was conceived March 21, 2012 by Katie Tan for her St. Baldrick's event on April 15, 2012 and lives on through GNSH's 2013 event.
