Quad City St. Baldrick's is back to Conquer Kid's Cancer for the 3rd year in a row! Over the past two years, we've managed to raise over $120,000 to help fund life saving research of childhood cancers! That is AMAZING...and all that money has been raised in the Quad Cities!
The majority of this money is raised through signature St. Baldrick's head shaving events. In the weeks/months leading up to the head shaving event, brave volunteers register to have their head shaved at the event. After registering, these brave souls spread the word of the amazing thing they are doing and, more importantly, they spread the word of WHY they are shaving their head. From that point, the fun begins as they go out and ask friends, family, coworkers, etc to donate on their behalf. This is done via word of mouth....Facebook...email....anyway you want to tell people, you do it and you do it proudly! Shaving your head for St. Baldrick's is definitely something to be proud of....whether you raise $50 or $5,000 you are doing your part to help find a cure for childhood cancers!
Our event is April 20th, 2013 at the Golden Leaf Convention Center in Davenport (directions above). We will be having a TON of fun that day. Highlights are -
*Raffles and Auctions
(iPad, iPad Mini, Chicago Cubs Tickets, $150 of Avon Products, QC River Bandits "Dream Day", QC Mallards memorabilia, and SO much more!!)
