8th Annual Team Sean Kelly

8 years ago, I started hosting this event as a way to honor my brother Sean's memory and carry on his legacy. In 2012, I hosted my 1st Team Sean Kelly head shaving event. We had 14 shavees and raised $14,157. In 2018, year 7, we had 57 shavees and raised $53,850. The event has grown each year as more people are catching Sean's wave for this righteous cause! With your help, in the past 7 years, Team Sean Kelly has raised over $286,000 for childhood cancer research, treatment, and cures.

This year, I am shaving my head to stand in solidarity not only with kids battling cancer, but also for my niece Keaton's husband, Matt Rosenberg. This past June 2018, two days before the birth of their first child, Matt was diagnosed with a stage 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor. The news is devastating. I also shave for my friends Soohie, Laura and Charles, both diagnosed with cancer this past year. I think we are all affected by cancer in some way, shape, or form. It is an epidemic, but there is hope for better treatments and cures.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!

I hope you will join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
