This is where we normally give a common message & theme.... This year is different (but don't worry, I'll include it below).
Last year was terrible for most charity events, but our event raised $22,000+, AND IT HAPPENED JUST AS COVID HIT AND WE WERE SHUT DOWN!
This year will be planned very differently, but I'm hoping that it goes from "virtual" to an "in-person" and real event. The prizes may not be there, the drawings may all be on hold, but I'm adjusting everything to be realistic and still something you can do. Maybe you can grow your hair for a (hair) donation, or maybe you just want to participate and get a haircut for online donations. Whatever the case may be, I hope you'll be a part of this as a shavee, donor, or support for someone who is participating or thinking about being a part of this type of event.
We've been doing this for some time now, and it's always a good time.... this is different, but hopefully things can become a reality for all who are interested.
Now, for that standard message.
Be a hero for kids with cancer! Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
