Event Details

In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone. We invite all Loyolans and Chicagoans to this event! There will be head shaving, food, and even a performance by hypnotist Jim Wand! You can find more information on Jim Wand on http://www.hypnotism.com/ Last year Loyola raised $20,000 and with your help, we can raise even more this year! The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises money for childhood cancer research. The mission of the St. Baldrick's Foundation is to raise awareness and funds to Conquer Kids' Cancer by shaving heads on St. Baldrick's Day. Hair loss is a common part of the chemotherapy treatment for cancer patients and this event allows people to show support to those in need. Schedule for the event: 5:00 PM-Introduction and Welcome 5:05 PM-1st Shavee of the Night! 7:30 PM-Start to Wind Down Shaving 8:00 PM-Presentation and Recognition 8:15 PM-Jim Wand Performance 10:00 PM-Final Donation and Finish Shavee's

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
