The St. Baldrick's event at Providence High School on September 30th gives our students and faculty the opportunity to affirm their commitment to be of service while also keeping health as a priority.  Childhood cancer doesn't care about your religion, your ethnicity, your socio-economic status or where you live.  It is a universal threat to all children and as children ourselves and those that care for them, it is honor to join the team that is funding the best childhood cancer research no matter where it happening in the world. 

The funds we raise this year will be dedicated to research on osteosarcoma - a type of bone cancer that is particularly devastating in teenagers.  There haven't been any significant new treatments in over 40 years which means that there are basically no treatment options if the cancer relapses, as it often does.
