Bucs Thundering Towards A Cure

Be a hero for kids with cancer!Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. In addition to St. Baldrick's signature head-shaving event, the students in the Belvidere community will band together to do even more to raise funds for childhood cancer research – Bucs Thundering Towards A Cure 5K Color Walk/Run is the most fun you will ever have walking/running a 5K. Not only is it tons of fun, it's super easy. Just show up in a plain white t-shirt or your Bucs Thundering Towards A Cure race shirt. Then walk/run through 3.2 miles of absolute color madness! You'll pass through 4 color stations where volunteers will douse you with color, turning your pristine white clothing into a colorful disaster. You'll look like a second grader who got into a box or crayons mixed with a Jackson Pollock painting. By the end of the 5K, you'll be covered in shades of Purple, Gold, Red and Blue – representing the colors of both Belvidere high schools. Of course, we save the best for last, ending the race with a color explosion where everyone unleashes their color packets into a cloud of colorful fun. You have never experienced anything like this before! So please join us for a day filled with color and baldness – in honor of the St. Baldrick's Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. We look forward to seeing you there! Check it out at www.bucsthundering.com
