Boulder High School St. Baldrick's Event
Hello all!
The big day is tomorrow and it looks like the weather will cooperate tomorrow. Due to the curveball that the school closure has thrown us, I appreciate your patience and willingness to be flexible. Below are some changes and reminders about tomorrow's event.
Details about the event:
- When: Thursday March 14th, 3:45pm - 5:30pm (the time has been pushed back to allow for set up)
- Where: Boulder High School Gymnasium
- Who: Anyone interested in coming to stand in support of a cure for childhood cancer.
- What will be there: Head shaving, live band, pizza and other food, head art, dodgeball tournament, drawings for pearl street food gift cards, and a who lot of love.

For those of you who are shaving your head:
- We plan on shaving the first heads at 4pm after the opening remarks will have a wave of 5 shavees every 10min. The specific shavee schedule will follow this email with an email to those of you who have signed up as shavees.
- If you have not do so already, you will need to fill out and bring in the participant agreement to be able to shave your head. If you are under 18, this needs to be signed by a parent/ guardian. This waver can be found at this link: https://www.stbaldricks.org/file/Resource_Lounge/VEO_CoreCommittee/ShaveeRecruiter/ParticipantAgreement.pdf
For those of you with hair long enough to donate it to a separate charity:
You will need to secure your hair in a ponytail/braid (or several ponytails/braids) that meet the length requirement for your specific charity you plan on donating to. You will let your barber know that you plan on donating your hair and they will need to cut above the band securing your braids/ponytails. You will then keep your hair and place it in a ziplock bag (some will be provided if you forget yours) and send it off to your designated charity. If you need help finding a charity to connect with, please follow the following link: https://www.stbaldricks.org/blog/post/donate-your-hair-in-5-easy-steps
If you need help or have questions, let me know! I'm here for you at ryan.oblock@bvsd.org
Thanks!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
