Schools and Communities Coming Together to Conquer Childhood Cancers
THE APRIL 26TH EVENT AT THE WALLED LAKE FIREHOUSE WILL REMAIN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, WELCOMING VOLUNTEERS AND SHAVEES FROM WLCSD AND ALL OVER METRO-DETROIT!
Since 2004, students, staff and families from the Walled Lake Consolidated School District have participated in St. Baldrick’s events at the Walled Lake Firehouse, contributing a great deal of effort in the over $300,000 raised so far!
This year, the WLCSD, in conjunction with the annual Walled Lake Firehouse event, are aiming for the largest fundraising to date. The school district is excited to partner with St. Baldrick’s and encourage students to directly help other kids by raising funds for life-saving research. Every school and student group in the WLCSD is welcome to form a team within the public event at the Walled Lake Firehouse or choose to organize their own event. The district is encouraging every school to participate in fundraising and to work together to unite the district with the surrounding communities to Conquer Childhood Cancers!
