Welcome to the Donna's Good Things campaign page for St. Baldrick's.
We believe that the best way to honor and remember a person who has died is to do good works in their name. Our daughter Donna died of a brain tumor in 2009. We created "Donna's Good Things" during her vigil by funding a dance scholarship in her name. We’ve grown since then, with lots of help from friends and followers, creating more good things.
Donna was amazing. She helped us find the joy in everyday life, even in the midst of cancer, and from all accounts, helped you, too. Our goal is for you to visit our site to find hope, give back, get inspired.
In 2012 a group of Donna's followers in Illinois were inspired to start a St. Baldrick's event to raise money form childhood cancer research in Donna's memory. They were joined by followers around the country, from Georgia to Michigan to California, who all came together to shave their heads in solidarity with kids with cancer, raising much needed funds for childhood cancer research.
Others have joined the mission to raise funds for research through headshaving events at their offices, hosting 'Girls Night Out' events, and more. We are humbled by their generosity and enthusiasm.
