Four Ways You Can Help Kids with Cancer While Online

November 12, 2020

Did you know you’re already doing things online that can help find cures for childhood cancer? Here are four ways to take your online activity to the next level, turning your actions into real donations for life-saving research. And with so many of us choosing to shop online during Covid, it’s a win-win. It couldn’t be any easier than this!

1. AmazonSmile

Shop AmazonSmile, and Amazon.com will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to the charity of your choice… and of course your choice will be St. Baldrick’s!

Follow this link to sign up to have your purchases benefit St. Baldrick’s.

You won’t have to create a new Amazon.com account. Just sign in with your existing Amazon username and password, and remember to follow this link (bookmark it for easy reference) every time you make a purchase. Be sure it says “Supporting: St. Baldrick’s Foundation” in the top left of the webpage before you check out.

You can do this on your mobile device, too, using the AmazonSmile app on iOS and Android. Simply follow these instructions to turn on AmazonSmile and start generating donations.

Almost all Amazon items are eligible so start shopping AmazonSmile!

2.  PayPal

Wait, I can donate to St. Baldrick’s with PayPal at checkout? Yes, you can!

You’ll find it convenient to give using PayPal, while shopping online with participating business partners, since St. Baldrick’s is enrolled in the PayPal Giving Fund. 100% of your donation will go to childhood cancer research – with no fees taken! So be sure to set St. Baldrick’s as your favorite charity on PayPal and share this option with your friends.

3. Donate Through eBay When Buying or Selling

When shopping or selling on eBay, you can support St. Baldrick’s by adding a donation when you buy an item – or donate a percentage of your sale when selling an item. Make your clicks, checkouts, and searchers count.

So when you sell those old treasures found in the attic, why not donate a portion of the price to fund lifesaving childhood cancer research? Easy, right?

4. Set Microsoft “Bing” as Your Default Search Engine

When you search Bing in “Give Mode,” your searches earn points for your favorite cause, and those points turn into a donation from Microsoft. The more you search, the more you’ll give —at no cost to you. The “Give with Bing” extension sets Bing as your default search engine, making the process seamless.

To get started, install the extension and sign in with a Microsoft account to join Microsoft Rewards loyalty program. This will enable Give Mode on Bing and then you can choose St. Baldrick’s as your cause.

Add the “Give with Bing” extension to Chrome

Ready, set, go online and help #GiveKidsALifetime!
