Spring is in the air, flowers are blooming, and the snow is melting. Whether you’re enjoying a week of freedom or looking to spend quality time with your friends and family, spring into the new season by helping fund childhood cancer research. Here are 5 ways to get you started.

1. DIY Music Festival. Spring is the unofficial start of festival season — so why not create your very own music festival with close friends and dance the day away?

Kids at Camp Newman held a dance-a-thon in 2014 to honor Honored Kid “Superman” Samuel Sommer and raised $9,000 for childhood cancer research!

2. Hunt for Treasure. Healthy competition is always fun and so is looking for treasure. Having a scavenger hunt or treasure hunt is a great way to find hidden goodies in town. Each ticket purchased can be a donation to fund lifesaving childhood cancer research.

3. Bike with Nature. If running marathons are not your cup of tea, start a bike group and explore nature or cool areas in the city. Tell your friends, family, and neighbors to join you and race your way to raising money for childhood cancer research for every mile!

Kevin biked along the Bermuda Triangle with three races in three days — and raised over $45,000 for kids with cancer

4. Flower Power. It is impossible to ignore the vibrant colors and floral aroma of flowers in bloom. Why not create and sell some DIY flower crowns to get into full spring spirit? Sweet-smelling roses and donations for childhood cancer research is the perfect combination!

5. Spring Cleaning. Cleaning doesn’t have to be a chore if you’re spending it with a group of friends! Put together a spring clean of unwanted items and sell your stuff at a local park. Tell them each item sold is helping find cures for childhood cancer.

A new season means a new beginning — this is your chance to save kids’ lives. Start a fundraiser for childhood cancer research or shave your head at one of our spring head-shaving events!
