Join us and be the human line of hope for all children who need our support fighting cancer. No other image is more powerful than that of a united group of people across the country on a Sunday afternoon in September holding hands on sides of country roads, in people's backyards, in parks, along sidewalks, and many other places. In Eldred, NY where it all started 5 years ago, we will be playing 12 minutes of music as we stand in line hand in hand, that will fill every square inch of this small country town and leave an enormous impression on your life.. That unity and solidarity is what this event is all about and is also why this event was created. I have approx 125 letters that spell out names and words of loved ones... each that tell a story of pain and suffering... and then hope and strength. Each letter represents a person wearing it... which means in order to fulfill everyone's name and word... we need 125 people in line to wear them. I'm hoping we will be able to reach that number. I know the NFL kicks off that day... I also know there are probably movies to go see, or parties to go to, or apples to pick, or something else you'd like to do. But I also know there will be kids in the hospital on September 7th, kids getting tests done, kids feeling like crap from treatment, and yes.. 7 kids will die this day as well from Cancer. It's your choice. A choice only you can make as to where you want to be. See you all on Hero Sunday! .
