Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Morgan and Friends

After year one, and Morgan completing treatment, the lovely family and friends that started the North Canton St. Baldrick's event allowed Melissa and her friend Sarah to have the honor of becoming part of the planning committee. Some of the people who had attended the year before became even more involved as volunteers. While the team got smaller, the quality of people participating was not lacking quality as they donated more of their time and hearts. Dad Scott's cousin Renee became a barber and it was becoming a real family affair in addition to the community and friends that continued to support this cause for Morgan and her friends. It was special to see Renee shaving Scott's head for his second year. Morgan and friends had officially started a tradition! In addition to the regular team, since Morgan was done with treatment, SHE decided to become a team fundraiser as well and did an outstanding job for her first year. She did have the cuteness advantage with her new post treatment peach fuzz. Since she was just getting her hair back she did not shave of course. Second year 2014 participation recap: ~ 18 team members ~ New committee members to include 5 people from the Morgan and Friends Team ~ Dad Scott raised $1,390 ~ Morgan raised $3,070 ~Team raised $16,574 ~ Event raised $112,049
