Hello Crossfit Beyond community, friends, families and other Crossfit boxes! WELCOME to our St. Baldrick's team page. Here you will be able to find out all the information about our participation in this amazing event with Albany Medical Center's Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer Blood Disorders! REASON: Our plan for involvement with this organization is to help raise as much money as we can as a community for Childhood Cancer and the St. Baldrick's organization. EVENT DETAILS: Crossfit Beyond's "Battle to Beat Cancer" Event Location: Crossfit Beyond Date: Sunday March 16th, 2014 Time: 11am-1pm (registration would start @ 9:45) *TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT AN INDIVIDUAL MUST RAISE A MINIMUM OF $100.00 OUR GOAL - $5,000.00 Workout: 3 rounds - 1 min AMRAP Power Cleans (95/65) 1 min AMRAP Russian KBS (55/35) 1 min AMRAP Burpees 1 min AMRAP Shoulder to Overhead (95/65) 1 min Double Unders (single unders of course for those who do not have Double unders) 1 min Rest AT THE COMPLETION OF THE WORKOUT - THE MELODIES CENTER WILL BE HOSTING THE ANNUAL HEAD SHAVING WITH ST. BALDRICK'S @ THE BARREL SALOON RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM CROSSFIT BEYOND! ...it will include CROSSFIT KIDS EVENTS ON THE GRASS (or in the box depending on weather),FACE PAINTING AND EVEN KARATE by one of the volunteers that work in the MELODIES CENTER at ALBANY MEDICAL CENTER. Time: 1pm-5pm DATE: Sunday March 16th, 2014 LOCATION: BARREL SALOON *10% of ALL SALES AT BARREL SALOON WILL GO TO TOTAL DONATIONS TO ST. BALDRICKS! ....LASTLY...ALL MALES AND FEMALES - you can sign up to be a head shavee! 5 women alone from the Melodies Center will be taking part in this event and would love the support from everyone in the community! Definitely consider this...remember when people ask you why you shaved your head you can tell them "I did it to help raise money for children with cancer." Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
