I am participating in this event to honor her and the many friends still fighting through cancer treatments that we met along the way. I also am doing this in hopes that someday maybe some child and their family won't have to go through a cancer "journey" at all.

We have made the decision to stand up to have our heads shaved – to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
