This team was formed by Jen Mancuso and Cassie Sartin in honor of our sons Noah and Sam, who have had to endure the type of battle that no child should ever have to face. The list of shavees continues to grow as brave women and men volunteer to give up their hair to raise money for childhood cancer research. We are mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, daughters, sons... each with our own personal reasons for participating, but all with the common goal of ending childhood cancer. 46 children are diagnosed with cancer every day. More children die from cancer each year than asthma, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, and AIDS combined. Yet less than 3% of the National Cancer Institute's annual funded research portfolio is allocated for pediatric cancer research. (2009) For every dollar spent on breast cancer research, less than 3 cents is put toward pediatric cancer. (bandofparents.org) We are so thankful for organizations like the St. Baldrick's Foundation that are dedicated to raising funds specifically for finding less toxic therapies, improving the quality of life, and finding cures for children with cancer. We're not asking you to shave your head.. leave that to us! But please consider making a donation on our behalf. It doesn't matter how big or how small, please give what you can afford. Every little bit helps and we are truly grateful for your support. To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone.

Thank you for your support!
