I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
THE ENTIRE CONNOR FAMILY IS GOING BALD - AMY AND SARAH, TOO!
Last summer Gene worked at Sunrise Day Camp (www.SunriseDayCamp.org), the only dedicated day-camp in the nation for children with cancer and their siblings. While it was inspiring for him to know he was doing something worthwhile, there were also many heartbreaking moments; the most difficult of which were the times he found out one of his students wasn't doing well or had lost the fight.
So all five of us will be shaving our heads in solidarity with kids anywhere who are battling cancer, but especially in memory of Gene's students at Sunrise who have lost their battle.
Please donate so that the St. Baldrick's Foundation can continue to fund research and support for these children and their families; and so that someday maybe Sunrise Day Camp won't be necessary.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least ten years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
