I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team AMO

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team AMO

Just over three years ago my Dad was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's follicular lymphoma. In the process of fighting his disease and undergoing 6 months of chemotherapy and radiation, my Dad through his personal and professional relationships raised a world’s best $108,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation by shaving his head in early 2010. I am so pleased to advise that thanks to God, lots of prayers, luck and some amazing cancer therapies, he remains cancer-free to this day!

I am now 16 years old, a sophomore at New Trier High School, and ready to give something back in support of the millions of cancer victims across the world. On Friday March 15th, 2013 at 2:45pm at the Fado Irish Pub in Chicago, I will be shaving my head with Team AMO, led by Dick Cagney. Our goal is to raise money and awareness for the infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Big or small, any donation will make a difference. Your support will lead the way in research that could potentially cure cancer, the leading cause of death from disease among U.S. children over one year of age. Thank you for all of your support!!! And if you are in Chicago, please attend, it will be an inspiring day for my team, my family, and myself, and we’d love for you to join us!!

Sincerely,

Ryan Lane
