I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm going to do it. I'm shaving my head on August 1st, 2013. It all started when I saw "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" and noticed how cool Lt. Ilia looked. I wasn't thinking about cancer at that point. Then, when my dad was diagnosed, I remember I didn't quite understand, or cry, until I realized his hair might fall out. It just so happened, fortunately, that it didn't. That memory hasn't ever left, though, and if shaving my head will make the prospect a bit less frightening (to anybody), it's worth it. Then I found out that it was possible to reveal the undiscovered country of my scalp *and* raise funds for cancer research, children's cancer research at that, and children's cancer is especially brutal. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Driven by volunteers, the St. Baldrick's Foundation provides more funding for childhood cancer research than any other organization besides the U.S. Government. I'm asking you to "support me", but I'm really asking you to support these brave kids who are battling cancer, because #cancersucks! Thanks so much!
