I've been truly blessed. I underwent two brain surgeries at Boston Children's Hospital and witnessed how courageous and brave the kids diagnosed and fighting cancer truly are. Seeing the other kids deal with cancer helped me recognize my medical issues were nothing in comparison.
After being in Boston I thought about one day being able to help in the fight to find a cure for cancer. I'll be riding in my 1st Pan-Mass Challenge this August and on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, I will joining 30 other "shavees" in Hartford shaving their heads in support of kids cancer research. I do this knowing that every dollar raised is one step closer to finding the cure.
