I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Cancer runs in my family. My grandmother died of breast cancer, one of my aunts battled breast cancer and another battled uterine cancer. All my life I have taken precautions in order to avoid getting cancer. Kids don't have that choice, many seem to get it out of the blue. For many, it changes their entire lives, they live in hospitals, have to go through horrible experiences with treatment and have no idea if it is even going to work. Each day a child will wake up to the cruel reality that his/her hair is falling out due to their illness, and I would like to do everything I can to change that. I am currently working on becoming a nurse, and would one day like to work with these children and do what I can to make the experience better, and maybe even save a life.
