I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Acadiana Roller Girls

I am all too familiar with loved ones going through the inherited financial and emotional battles from cancer treatment. My grandfather passed away from cancer before I was ever old enough know him for the legend I've heard so much about. My grandmother, who may be the most strong willed individual I've met, has fiercely fought and won a couple of overwhelming battles against cancer. But the one to hit closest to home for me was when I had to watch the biggest influence in my life suffer through it; my dad. Although he fought bravely, conquered the battle and survived, it was still one of the greatest challenges in my life, to helplessly watch the person who helped me become the man I am today go through the challenges and pain that cancer presents, desperately praying and hoping that the treatments he suffered through would wipe out the ruthless illness. While my experiences with loved ones fighting the battle of cancer have been rough at times, I can hardly imagine watching a son or daughter facing the same battle. It has to be one of the most paralyzing and tragic experiences that one could endure. I hardly consider shaving my head much of a sacrifice, but my hope is to attract enough attention by sharing my story so that a few of you will take the time and generosity to donate a few bucks to the cause. No amount is too large or small to contribute to such a great cause! Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for any other contributions you make to this cause. Please share this link with your friends, family, coworkers, and any others as you deem appropriate.
