I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This is my second St. Baldricks in which I will again pay homage to my late mother Tammy Starks VanAlstyne who succumb to a lengthy battle with breast cancer in January of 2013. I understand St. Baldricks is aimed at childhood cancers but no matter the age of the life it takes cancer is still a demon no family should ever have to battle if I can help it. I'm now a proud aunt of 7 month old twins and I would like them to grow up in a world where the word cancer is no longer a word that strikes fear into the heart of society. So for my mom, all the children diagnosed every three minutes and their families, as well as in remembrance of those taken too soon by this terrible disease won't you fight cancer with me?
