I'm participating in St. Baldrick's in memory of Chadee Deen. Chadee was one of my daughter's best friends. She and her mom moved to Macomb the same year we did, and we lived in the same neighborhood for most of the girls' high school years. Chadee was a loyal friend and a deep thinker. She was intelligent, funny, courageous, and mature for her years in many ways. Her favorite color was blue. She brought much joy to all who loved her. Chadee was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma when she was 10 and initially survived. Sadly, the cancer recurred when she was 22. Chadee fought hard and did not give in to ACC, but she eventually passed away two weeks before her 25th birthday on October 20, 2010. We remember Chadee with love.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
