I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

My earliest experience with cancer was when my uncle, Tommy, passed away when I was in grade school. We were very close and I just remember being extremely hurt and confused about the whole situation...too young to understand why it had to happen to him. I cannot imagine personally going through something like that at any age, let alone as a child. To be honest, I have no idea how so many of these children can be so brave/strong when faced with so much adversity at such a young age. Recently, a co-worker of mine found out his teenage son, Matthew Baar, has an extremely rare form of cancer. Obviously, it has turned Matthew and his family's world upside down and I'm shaving my head in honor of him. I hope that whatever amount of money I'm able to raise will have some impact on finding cures for childhood cancer, so Matthew and families around the world have a better chance at a normal life. Please, take a minute to donate any amount of money you're comfortable with...every little bit helps. Thank you, Michael
