I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear friends,

Many of you have been asking why I have decided to shave my head this year, and I can't wait to tell you why! :)

I would like to take a stand against something meaningful, something personal to a lot of people. That something is childhood cancer. More than 160, 000 children are diagnosed with cancer each & every year. Only 60 years ago, most of these children died. Because of research, today 85% of children with the most common type of cancer will live. Unfortunately, for other types of cancer, progress has been limited and for some children, there is still little hope for a cure.

I have thus made a choice to stand strong on April 9th in solidarity with children fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I am shaving my head to raise funds for childhood cancer research! :) I will be representing The St. Baldrick's Foundation, which partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. Therefore, although The St. Baldrick's Foundation is American, all the money raised will go to Childhood Cancer Canada and the wigs from hair you donate swill stay in Canada too!

I would love to do everything I can to give children a better chance for a cure. Words could not express how much it would mean to me if you would join me. :) To support me on behalf of these very special kids, please click "Make a Donation" above, or donate by mail or phone.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!! :)
