I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Fighting Irishman

It's 2014 and I am shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Kids' cancers are different from adult cancers and research is extremely underfunded. I am honoring Patrick McSweeney, my son, who is now a 3 time survivor of ALL, acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He was originally diagnosed in 2004. Following primary chemotherapy from 2004-2007, he relapsed in 2010. He underwent chemotherapy again from 2010-1012. Then, after winning a city championship basketball game, he relapsed a second time in February 2013. He is now 9 months old, referencing the May 14th, 2013 date of his life-saving bone marrow transplant. Treatment techniques, dosages, and everything related to his treatment has been the result of research. But each day many parents across the country, around the world, and in our neighborhoods hear the devastating words, "Your child has cancer." You never get your breath back after that moment. Help me, help the St. Baldrick's organization help fund research in childhood cancer research to find a cure!
