I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

In the spring of 2009, I shaved my head for my son Andrew as he began his treatment for leukemia. This March, I will shave it again for St. Baldrick's for the fourth year in a row.
I thank God every day for the treatment that Andrew received to cure his leukemia. It was a long road. The first year was really rough, and then 2.5 more years of daily, weekly, and monthly chemo, much of it with drugs developed decades ago. He's finished with treatment now, but he'll live with long-term side effects for probably the rest of his life. Not to mention the fear of it coming back. More research is needed to help kids like Andrew with leukemia and other pediatric cancers. They need better, less toxic treatments and cures for the many kids who don't survive. Every day, 46 kids are diagnosed with cancer and 7 die. Until that number is ZERO, we need to do more.
Help me help these kids. Help St. Baldrick's raise money to fund the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. Together, we can kick the CRAP out of kid's cancer.
Thank you.
