Ice Cream Social, Raffle Drawings, and St. Baldrick’s Head-Shaving Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The NAMIC Marketplace for Mutuals finishes off with ice cream treats, fellowship, and excitement! Activities will include the popular must-be-present-to-win Exhibitor Raffle Drawings along with a NAMIC and St. Baldrick’s Foundation signature head-shaving to raise funds and awareness for lifesaving childhood cancer research. Join NAMICO’s President & CEO, Tim Sullivan, as he collects pledges to shave his head in solidarity with children with cancer. Fun Run and Walk to Benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation Tuesday, Sept. 24, 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. The 10th annual Fun Run and Walk will take place in the area surrounding the Seattle Convention Center. It’s a great way to work in a healthy activity during the busy convention schedule, while benefiting a worthwhile cause. All proceeds from the race go toward the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. Participants can choose between a 5K run or a 3K walk, and all participants receive commemorative T-shirts. Please indicate on your convention registration form if you are planning to participate in the Fun Run and Walk. If you've already registered, you can add your partcipiation in the Fun Run and Walk to your registration on the registration additions form. You can also sign up on-site at the NAMIC Registration Desk, starting Saturday, Sept. 21 through the day on Monday, Sept. 23. Registration cost is $40 per person. Proceeds from this event will benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Tentative Agenda 6:30 – 6:50 a.m. Check-in and race day registration - outside the main entrance of the Seattle Convention Center. 6:50 – 7:00 a.m. Race instructions and announcements. 7:05 a.m. Race Starts 7:30 – 7:40 a.m. Race finishes – walkers and runners return to their hotel - See more at: http://namic.org/convention/activities.asp#sthash.pbjQBZZg.dpuf
