I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team CHLA

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.

Just 20 years ago, I was dealing with my own cancer diagnosis and the ravaging effects of chemotherapy. I remember shaving my head to try and take back some control of my life. When my treatment was done, I was so relieved when my hair began growing again. Now at 53 years of age, I have a permanent bald spot on the crown of my head. Whenever I catch myself being self-conscious about it, I just remember that time in my life when my vanity took a holiday. I am filled with gratitude to be here all these years later, able to make this small difference for young people fighting for their lives.

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
