I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Buzzed Buddies

"Beauty is how you feel inside and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical." Sophia Loren

I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Sadly, I have lost my uncle and grandfather to cancer, but I have been fortunate enough to call my dad a cancer survivor. Donating my own money helps, but I want to pull more people in to help this cause. There is only ONE thing in the world worse than someone suffering from cancer and that is having a child suffer from cancer. These kids haven't had a chance to live and I hope to involve more people in helping. Spread the word. Every dollar counts!

As a full-time hairstylist and makeup artist, it is a HUGE deal for me to shave my head since I am someone who constantly has a new hair color and cut done. Shaving my head for St. Baldrick's is something I have always wanted to do- and I am so happy that I have finally decided to do it. Although St. Baldrick's is all about the kids, I still wanted to honor my mom and dad in this as well as a little girl named Lily. My mother, Zofia, suffered from a rare undiagnosed neurological disorder for 12 years until she passed away October 15, 2010. A few months after she had passed, my father, Wally, was diagnosed with kidney and bladder cancer. I decided to honor the both of them. Since I decided to join the St. Baldrick's Foundation to honor children, I also chose to honor Lily P. Like my mother, Lily had been going to many different doctors for years, trying to find an answer as to what her condition could be. Fortunately, Lily was eventually diagnosed, treated and is currently in maintenance for her cancer. Read more about her story below!

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
