I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi! My Name is McKenna. I'm 12 years old and I live in Illinois. Some of my friends shaved their heads last year for St. Baldrick's and, when they explained why, I thought, "Hey, that's something I'd like to do!" So I asked my parents. They were kind of freaked out about me losing my hair but they said I could and are proud of me. In 2008, I lost my Aunt Pam, after a ten-year battle with ovarian cancer. I didn't know much about what was going on at the time, but now I understand. CANCER SUCKS. It was terrible losing Aunt Pam to cancer but it must be super-hard to have your little kid diagnosed with it! Speaking of kids with cancer, our family friends, the Schleifers, have a son named Eli. Eli was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last May when he was only 8 years old. He started treatment last year (2012) and will continue for about 3 1/2 years. Like I said, Cancer SUCKS. I'm happy that I can earn money to help to fight it. I am doing my best to kick Cancer's butt by shaving my head for Eli and for other kids with cancer. I'm really excited to do this. Something in my gut told me "Hey, you should do this. Like... Seriously." So, I said yeah! And here I go! May 2nd, and I'm super excited. I was hoping to do it on March 16 with some of my friends from church and stuff, but, unfortunately there was a conflict with that date. But hey, I'm still doing it! And I'm still excited! I'd greatly appreciate it if you donated for me. I'm not begging you or anything, maybe you have no idea who I am and you'd rather spend your money on somebody you do know. Do whatcha wanna do, but I'd love it if you did! :D
