I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: FCC Bald for a Cause #1

Hello! My name is Lauren. I am a nursing student at Fresno City College and a volunteer at Children's Hospital Central California in the Oncology clinic. I'm shaving for all the kids that I have met in the clinic, their families, for my cousin and in honor of her baby. I never thought I would ever shave my head in my lifetime, but the experiences in my life have led me to St. Baldrick's! I was really scared to shave my head at first, but it is only hair and it will grow back. Cancer is a million times more scary than just a haircut. If shaving my head will make a difference, it is worth it. I am shaving my head not just to raise funds, but also awareness. This is something that you never even think will happen, but every 3 minutes, somewhere in this world a child is diagnosed. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Did you know this charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government? Your donation will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. You can make a difference. Thank you for your support!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
