I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Belle's Bald Boys

Hi everyone,

Well, it is that time of year again: time for me to shave off what little hair I have left in support of childhood cancer research. (I notice every year that less and less comes back. lol) As most of you know, my niece and goddaughter Belle was diagnosed with ALL in Dec. 2008. She is in remission and doing great! :-D YAY! However, many children still need the support St. Baldrick's offers, including the 4 year old son of a family friend who is now enduring his battle.

St. Baldrick's started in 2000 raising over $100k. In 2010 alone, they raised over $22 million, 2011 saw $28 million raised, and that went up again last year to over $33 million. They are the largest volunteer driven program for childhood cancer research. You can find out more about St. Baldrick's here: http://www.stbaldricks.org/about-us/index. I also have some fliers on my desk.

If you would like to contribute, please click on this link: http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/participantid/583401. If you are unable to give, we are happy to accept your prayers for Belle's continued recovery, as well as for all of the children affected by cancer, including our friend.

Thanks,

Jeff
