I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: NetApp Global Team

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: NetApp Global Team

For the seventh consecutive year, Joey Santamorena and I are leading as executive sponsors, the NetApp effort for St. Baldrick’s by shaving our heads to raise money and awareness for kid’s cancer research. My sons, Liam, Aidan and their teammates will be joining me as shavees once again and we have over 22 events planned already and over $157,000 raised collectively and we have yet to have our first event. With our bald heads, we will stand in solidarity with kids being treated for cancer while raising money for life-saving research. Our personal quest humbling as it may be, pales in comparison to the challenge facing children with cancer. Over the years, NetApp employees, partners, customers, family and friends have opened their hearts and wallets reaching record results (NetApp raised over $1.5M in 2012). You can help our quest to make or beat our fundraising goal of $25,000 and lead NetApp to another record year for St. Baldrick’s. Your donations help St. Baldrick's fund more in grants for childhood cancer research than any other organization except the U.S. government. Since 2005, the Foundation has funded more than $103 million in grants. Since 2000 (the first St. Baldrick’s event) over 276,000 people have shaved their heads! NetApp employees, customers partners, friends and family members proudly host “shaving parties” where newly sheered volunteers become walking billboards, further raising awareness for the cause. In 2012, NetApp hosted 26 events worldwide! I have been blown away by the support, excitement, and generosity given year after year from our ever involved partners, customers, and alliances. Joining us this year is Vito Giuliani, Head of Procurement with ADP. The NYC event is on March 7th at LQ, 511 Lexington Ave. I have attached a copy of the invitation. It is my hope and wish that you will find it in your heart to donate or join in the fun. If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Phil Eletto, phile@netapp.com. To find an event in other cities, please visit this link: StBaldricks.org/campaigns/netapp Space at our NYC venue is very limited and fills up surprisingly fast, so if attending we appreciate an approximate number of guests (hopefully shavees) joining you. We were packed last year and expect to be once again. All notable milestones will be logged as they happen on Twitter @BHoganNYC, click the “follow” button on my page for all updates. News will be posted to #NetAppStBaldricks.
