As a childhood leukemia survivor, I know first hand what its like to have to deal with cancer at a young age. Being 13 at the time of diagnosis, I was somewhat understanding to what was happening, but that's not the case every time. I have seen young kids, even infants and toddles going into get treatment, often times not understanding what is happening to them and their body. The only thing more heart-wrenching than seeing them is seeing their parents, often times not that old themselves. Siblings have to learn to live almost by themselves as their brothers and sisters battle cancer; with parents at their side. No one person ever survives cancer themselves, parents, siblings, relatives, friends and family alike all have to become a team and the community as well. I am doing this because no person should ever have to face cancer, no family should ever have to watch a young one suffer. The only thing I see as important as the money we are raising is the piece of mind cancer patients and family members get when they see complete strangers doing what they can to help. Please do your part to help me raise money for this cause. thank you for your time & donations.
