I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hey! A little bit about me. I was born in Door County, WI and was raised in Menasha, WI by my Mother Terri and Father Bill along side my younger brother Tyler. I'm a sophomore Education major at UW-La Crosse. The last hair cut I had was my sophomore year in high school, making the run almost 5 years. I was voted "best hair" in my graduating class, and my hair has always sort of been my "trademark"...what people know/recognize me by. Hearing about St. Baldrick's really got me thinking. I have never really been a part of donating money to charity or really helping out in a big way before. I have an INCREDIBLE network of family and friends and really think I could make a great contribution with this act of solidarity in honor of the children who lose their hair in their battles with cancer every year, and especially my buddy Ryan Othrow who has been battling AML for years and is one of the most amazing and courageous people I know. I am extremely proud and honored to take part in this event, and am PUMPED for April 26th hoping to go far above and beyond the goal I have set to raise. Ryan passed away recently losing his battle with cancer, leaving behind an incredible imprint in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Ryan you will be truely missed and I love you with all my heart. My prayers go out to you and your family, God Bless.
